Anyway, family illness and events overtook me and I wasn’t able to get any further walking done and at the end of March I took off for my trip to India and Bhutan. I had always planned to do the hike to Taktshang Monastery in my old shoes and I left them behind in India.
Last week I went for short walk in my new shoes and the Achilles problem resurfaced immediately and I was hobbling again.
Today I went into Shoe Clinic in Lower Hutt and asked what I could do to sort out my shoes. To be honest I thought smacking the heel with a hammer was going to be the solution.
I was asked to walk about, had my feet tested on the scanner and the diagnosis was that the shoes were not right for me.
Shoe Clinic fitted me with a correct pair and swapped them for the ones purchased in January.
I am so impressed... that is incredible service.
So I want to acknowledge that and advertise it.
Shop at Shoe Clinic - they are fantastic.
